I was getting a lot of headaches so I went to a doctor that did a blood test and said I was low on protein. I found this hard to believe since I was just starting to body build. After that I went to another doctor that sent me to a neurologist who then diagnosed me with my AC because of my headaches after a MRI. This neurologist didn’t know what to do. He put me on Initrex and Nortriptyline which helped with the headaches. He told me to wait a couple of months and then get another MRI. I started asking around because he didn’t know what he was doing and someone in my family used to work with a NS. I went to be evaluated and was told “A lot of people have ACs and they don’t know it. It can either be symptomatic or asymptomiac. Only if it is causing you problems I will put in a shunt.” I quit going to him. I haven’t been to the doctor in a year because I haven’t been having problems in a year. When I was 18 I was ice skating and I busted the front of my head and had to get 10 stitches so that is the only head trauma I have had. I live a half an hour from Texas City which is known to have a high rate of brain diseases. I think there needs to be some research done on it because I believe mine to be environmental. I live next door to a big, huge electrical transformer. Part of the reason I don’t have headaches now is because I am taking so many vitamins. I am taking a Muli, Coenzyme Q10, Extra Vitamin E, C, B complex, Essential Fatty Acid Complex, and I take in a lot of protein. Avoid Arginine (nuts and chocolate) because it causes nitric oxide to build up in your vessels and causes them to expand. When I don’t consume sugar for the day I get headaches. I don’t get tired or fatigued. I am active and I eat healthy. The only reason I get headaches now is when I sleep on my right side and the fluid builds up.
Did you know this is a brain tumor? No. They didn’t say anything about this being a brain tumor.
What are you going to do now? I am probably going to get another MRI. I am doing more research. I will keep you updated.
