100+ other people know it's not "all in your head" Please join me in keeping it real.

Reading from the letter sent to us when Daniel was diagnosed -Front-temporo-parietal arachnoid cyst. he also has asymmetrical enlargement of the ventricular system which is displaced over towards the left.

We are going to GOSH(Great Ormaond Street hospital) on friday 10th October. Daniel is having another scan done (CT).

Daniel's general temper varies from day to day. Any problem he faces he losses it. This has become increasingly worse over time and he can just explode for no reason. He also doesn't understand the consequences of his actions. According to the specialist this may not be a symptom of his condition but then again it may be.

My son is behind at school and struggles. Even though school were aware that he was diagnosed as dysparxic they were not very helpful and just thought that Daniel was being lazy and uncooperative. It will be quite interesting to see what happens after he has surgery in view of the diagnoses of dyspraxia

He has few friends which also makes him stand out.He lacks self confidence and always puts himself down and will not try anything new. This is very frustrating. He also lacks empathy.

On the positive side he has a very active imagination and is full of character. He also says what he thinks without realizing what he has said or saying.

On the physical side he lacks co-ordination, balance, has weakness in both hands. He constantly fidgets and can not concentrate for long periods of time.

He is often forgetful and will have to be reminded of what he actually needs to do. He has not complained of having headaches never had blackouts but suffers from disturbed sleep. As a child Daniel did not sleep through the night until he was 2.5 years.

We have noticed that in recent years he has become grumpier when having to get up in the mornings he used to be the first one up in the morning and always with a smile on his face.
